"Tong Tong" Makes Its Debut to Greet "MACAO 2026"
01.06.2026

The Macao 2026 Specialized World Stamp Exhibition (referred to as "MACAO 2026"), co-organized by Macao Post and Telecommunications Bureau and Macao Philatelic Association, will be held from June 26 to July 1 at Cotai Expo Hall A, The Venetian Macao. As the first world-class philatelic exhibition in Macao, it also coincides with the centenary of the Fédération Internationale de Philatélie (FIP), adding significant commemorative value to the event.
This large-scale exhibition brings together participants from over 40 countries and regions, showcasing approximately 1,500 frames of competitive stamp exhibits. Special highlights include the “Treasure Gallery” and the “Macao Philatelic Original Designs Exhibition” that offer the public a close-up view of rare philatelic items and intricate design craftsmanship. Additionally, more than 40 sales booths hosted by domestic and international vendors will cater to philatelic enthusiasts of all levels. The exhibition will also feature "Six Themed Days", during which unique commemorative envelopes and postcards will be distributed free of charge each day. Exclusive postmarks and on-site mailing services will be provided, allowing visitors to send their wonderful memories via mail to all corners of the world to share the joy of the event.
In anticipation of this grand event, the Macao Post and Telecommunications Bureau has taken the lead in unveiling the exhibition's mascot “Tong Tong” along with two major warm-up activities, kicking off this international event.
Inspired by the postal kiosk commonly found in Macao, the mascot "Tong Tong" features the Bureau's iconic red and blue colors. This cheerful character holds a stamp and a cylindrical magnifier, symbolizing the joy of stamp exploration. During the exhibition, exclusive “MACAO 2026” limited-edition merchandise will be released, including a “Tong Tong” plush blind box, a laptop sleeve, and an incense holder. Combining playfulness with practicality, these three items are expected to become must-have collectibles for both stamp enthusiasts and younger crowds.
To allow residents and tourists to participate in this grand event in advance, the Macao Post and Telecommunications Bureau has simultaneously launched two online and offline pre-event activities:
Activity 1: Guess Tong Tong's Mystery Color (June 1–20, 2026)
Go to the activity webpage (www.macao2026.org.mo) and guess the hidden color of the "Tong Tong" plush blind box. Correct guessers who are picked in the lucky draw may visit the designated counter at the venue during the exhibition (June 26 – July 1) to receive fantastic prizes, including the “Tong Tong” plush blind box and an exquisite presentation pack.
Activity 2: Photo Check-in Reward (June 1–25, 2026)
Residents and visitors can snap a photo with “Tong Tong” at the General Post Office or the Communications Museum, share it on social media, and redeem a limited-edition gift at the on-site Philatelic Shops.
The public and philatelic enthusiasts are cordially invited to visit the official “MACAO 2026” website (www.macao2026.org.mo) for the latest updates, and attend the event in person to experience a world of art on a miniature canvas, witnessing together the history, culture, and innovative charm carried by stamps.
